Yahoo kept their word.
We have posted a Yahoo FBL request for our customer
on Monday and the FBL was granted the same day!
A wonderful news for all marketers that have setup
new services after the Yahoo FBL was taken down.
Apply slowly not to swamp the Yahoo team.
They surely are busy guys.
Keep up the great work Yahoo!

This post was mean to those who actually believed it, like myself.

I'm glad Yahoo! FBL is back but I still can't find the application online... They are still saying they do not accept any new applications.
Does anyone know what's going on?
Thanks.

The Yahoo! Feedback Loop hasn't relaunched yet. We'll post an update on http://postmaster.yahoo.com once it's available for sign-ups again.

Where (exact URL please) did you signed up for the FBL ?
Posted by: Damian | November 13, 2008 at 01:38 PM
Yes, what is the URL?
I still can't find it on their site and the message remains the same "we are *not* processing new applications at this time."
Let us know John.
Thank you.

I think (and quote):
"It is the secret juice of long-established ESPs"

Yahoo's really made me angry these past few months. I moved to a new server, and it's been nothing but a pain to get Yahoo to accept emails. Defer Defer Defer. First it's just deferring for the fun of it, then it's deferring due to user complaints yet no FBL so I can't remove them, and since I don't know who they are everytime I mail out the complain!
The end result was I removed all yahoo users from my mailing list and am recommending Gmail. One simple email is all it took for Gmail to remember my previous YEARS of good email reputation.

I thought this site was about deliverability, not a secret "IN" club. The fact that noone replied on how to apply for the Yahoo feedback loop tells a lot about how people who call theirselves ESPs now make money knowing the secrets instead of educating legitimate email providers on how to terminate spam for good by using the proper mechanisms like the feedback loops provided by companies who do care like Live or AOL.
Eventually, this kind of lobbish behaviors empower those who don't really care about eliminating the SPAM problem, rather than that, abuse benefits those who know "the secrets". Pathetic
Yahoo, shame on you....

As long as it seems you are on different terms with Yahoo than the rest of the world, do you have any info regarding the date when the FBL will be available for the rest of the ESP's in the world ?
Thanks.

So no one wants to share the "secret" URL?
That's just not right.

Tried writing to Yahoo twice about it and I got the same cut and paste response twice (from different reps) ... how sad! It is becoming obvious that Yahoo is being selective and only approving those who have "contacts." This is extremely odd because it only promotes spam. By not having vital complaint information how can senders maintain a good mailing reputation? Isn't that what Yahoo wants? What about a positive Yahoo user experience?
Cut and paste response received TWICE - 9+ months and the Yahoo FBL is still in "maintenance" UNBELIEVABLE!!
====================================
Hello [ME],
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Mail.
I understand that you are interested in applying for the Yahoo! Mail
Complaint Feedback Loop program. At this time, we are making improvements to our feedback loop program to make it easier for senders such as yourself to quickly activate and eventually update your feedback loop account. That said, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we put the processing of new applications on hold for the time being.
We hope to launch our improved online process soon, so please check our Postmaster Help pages often for an announcement about the program. In
addition, we will make every effort to send you an update to this email
address once we begin processing applications again.

Note: Our feedback loop program will continue to be based on DomainKeys,
and will not be based on a sender's IP addresses. If you are not signing
your outbound emails will DomainKeys, you will be ineligible to
participate in the program when it resumes. (We are working on
supporting a DKIM-based program as well.)
Your patience and understanding are highly appreciated.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Mail. Your case number for this issue is XXXXXXX. Please reference it in all future communication about this particular issue.
Regards,

Absolutely,
Yahoo is the most spam friendly ISP out there -- it's all about "contacts" due their lack of ESP support capacity.
There are known deliverability "gurues" out there offering shortcuts to get whitelisted at Yahoo by making phone calls. I've seen Yahoo instant approvals of whitelist requests (not feedback loops actually) to companies(big ones) that send emails to third party lists getting whitelist requests approved without problems. Of course, once they start mailing, the IP looses the whitelisted status, but this is the plain evidence that Yahoo DO care about WHO makes the call ;)
unbelievable....
