The first thing that any company will tell you to do is setup an email signature. Most individuals even install this signature just for convenience. It’s a good way to make sure that no matter what email you send your recipient will know how to reach you. My email signature consists of my name, position, websites, phone number, email address, and Twitter handle, and I know that it will automatically pop up with every email I send. It’s a great little feature.
But there is a way to make it better. Many employees and business owners use graphics and dynamic images as a part of their signature. This can be used just for fun, but most add these images to help promote a company brand. You can link back to your company website through the graphic and it gives your logo a little bit more visibility. After all, in most cases business emails are used to help someone learn about your company, so a link and a logo are a great start. It’s also a great idea to have your signature change with your website. You can add social media buttons, blog posts, and links all with the help of the popular service, WiseStamp.
How to Use WiseStamp Features to Create a Unique Email Signature
WiseStamp is a plugin that you can purchase that will help spruce up your email signature. After all, if you’re starting a small business you may as well take advantage of every opportunity you can to help build your brand. Below examples some of the features that WiseStamp can offer an email signature:
- Signature – The service allows you to customize your signature by changing the font, size, color, etc. Below you will see that this signature uses different colors and different fonts. It helps each component of the signature stand out and gives the signature a more authentic feeling:

- Dynamic Contnet – WiseStamp allows you to pull from your RSS feed so that your latest blog post or latest social media share will show up in an email signature. In other words, if you’re updating your blog, your signature will also be updated. If you visit their Email Apps Gallery page you will see all of the different dynamic options you can put in your signature. If we look at Staci Gauny once more time, you will notice below that she included a Facebook, Twitter, and RSS, and Skype application. She also gives readers the option to read her latest blog post. Whenever she sends an email, readers will be able to click on these little apps and be taken straight to the different sites:

The cool thing about this feature is the idea that you do not have to stop at social sharing buttons. The website offers different categories including Causes, Content (Wikipedia, Random Quotes, etc.) and apps specifically for businesses (QR Codes, “like” Buttons, etc.).
- Multiple Signatures – The service allows you to set up multiple signatures. Most users use one for business emails and one for personal emails. One click and you will have a drop down menu that gives you the option of which signature you’d like to use. Below is an example from the WiseStamp video tour page:

How to Get Started with WiseStamp
The WiseStamp homepage offers a free download of some of the most basic features the service has to offer. However, most people tend to splurge and go for one of their three plans that offer more features. If you go to the homepage and click “Plans” in the upper right hand corner you will be taken to a page with three different plans:
- Plus – $24/year

- Enterprise – $120/year
To find out more information about the different plans, visit the WiseStamp website. The site is easy to navigate and can be translated into several languages, so you should be able to get all of your questions answered without frustration.
